I’m trying to forecast revenue for an online business supported by search engine advertising and contextual advertising with a pay per click model. I have the average keyword prices broken down by vertical but I would like to know the average clickthrough rates to model the potential revenue.
I own beaglecollectibles.com and has been open since June this year. We currently use pay-per click ads and they generate some traffic but not enough. Any suggestions on how to generate more traffic?
I am opening up a ‘Pay To Click’ site that will be much better than other PTC sites. It’ll have lower-priced advertising and users will be able to earn more money per click. I’ve got the money to set it up, and I’ve got the software to set it up, now all I need is a name that sounds serious and will bring users in.
I am considering using a PPC (Pay per click) affiliate program and Google AdWords in order to generate a new income.
Basically… Get paid each time a customer clicks a link, but then pay Google AdWords for advertising it in the sponsored listings…
If the amount I am paying for the google AdWords is less than the amount I get paid by the PPC (Pay per Click) service… Then its a Win / Win situation.
Ok my website never ranked on the first page of Yahoo but did rank. I decided to pay the $299 to be added to the directory in hopes that I would rank a little higher. When I did that you can no longer find my site at all through natural keyword searches. The page is optimized no black hat it is IMHO a good site with a lot of rich content. I have given template sites with no optimization to two of my coleagues and they both show up for my keywords.
I decided to add PPC because I figured Yahoo must have sandboxed me. $650 more out of pocket to Yahoo and still can not be found in natural search but always on first page in the right column (pay per click column).
